VOLUNTEER LEADERS
Breakthrough Ministry volunteers are people who are passionate about our Lord Jesus Christ, about Divine mandate and about practical and primitive Christianity. Each volunteer is accepted based on a sense of "call" to their position of ministry. Our volunteers rank from pre-school teacher to University professor, nursing assistant to medical doctor, lay leader to clergyman. It's an interesting and exciting group. Each has made a big sacrifice to serve Jesus as a volunteer leader at BTICC. All our volunteers are here to serve YOU so let us know what we can do to assist you. Visit our Director pages to get to knoaw some of the key volunteers better.

LEADERSHIP
The Leadership of Breakthrough Ministries consists of a group of committed directors, lay leaders and pastors. We believe all true Christians are called to be ministers (servants) and leaders (those who influence others) of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do believe in the fivefold ministry gift (offices) of the church - apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher. We believe the local church is led by a shepherd or pastor who feed, lead, guard, and love the congregation (the flock).
The Pastor (John Ogbonnaya) sets the vision, values, and ministry priorities of the church. Volunteer Leaders are those who oversee major areas of ministry at BTICC. Currently our volunteer Leaders are: – Dr Leonard Njemanze- Men's Leader, Dr Cindy Njemanze - Director of Recovery, Luigina Barkley-Evangelism Director, Linda Rutledge – Administrative Assistant, Pat Rice – Prayer Director, Dave Rowen - Technical Director, Joy Ogbonnaya (Associate Pastor )- Minister of Group Life, Elnora Cosey -Choir Coordinator, Towanda Collins-Hospitality Director, Luigina Barkley - Service Manager, Miracle Ogbonnay- Worship Leader.
Leadership Council is a multi-ethnic group of four people who are elected from the membership at our annual membership meeting. This Council sets the budget and oversees the finances, property, and policies of the church. They assist Pastor John Ogbonnaya in his role of leadership including confirming his major staff hires.

Our History
Breakthrough International Christian Center was founded in 2010 from a Prayer group started to address the prayer and spiritual health of the Body of Christ. A Faith Clinic Ministry that focused on physical health, spiritual health, and mental health, others include emotional health, relational health, financial health, vocational health and the ministerial health of all. Breakthrough Ministries attracted new people enough for our host to commence a 3rd service which is now Noon Service in Long Beach. Breakthrough Service served the above purpose for sixteen months and transitioned to a Church plant. BTICC meets at 5230 Clark Avenue, Suite 5, Lakewood CA 90712.
God called and commissioned John and Joy Ogbonnaya to pastor and to lead a restoration movement, in order to forge vessels of recovery, a group of Christians who are ready to obey the scripture by imitating Jesus. “…the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” BTICC is a multi-ethnic church.
Breakthrough International Christian Center is impacting the World locally, nationally and globally.

I was privileged to be in attendance when Pastor John started Breakthrough Service as a prayer service to pave the way for third service of Light and Life Christian Fellowship North.
3. What is your role at BTICC?
My role is that of Children Ministry leader and Pastor of Group Life.
4. What is the best part about your role?
Children are a heritage from the Lord. Helping a young child to know God and His teaching is truly a delightful and rewarding experience. I see the children's ministry as the largest mission field in the world.

1.Family Info:
I am the 2nd oldest of 5 brothers & married to Gretchen for 19 years.
2. How did you come to BTICC?
I heard of a pastor that had suddenly responded to a call of God, leaving his wife & family, to come to America.
........I just wanted to know why...... And did he have something for me????
3. What is your role at BTICC?
I am Pastor John's 'left-hand-man' doing various odd assignments & assisting with the media.
4. What is the best part about your role?
The best part is seeing God respond to the prayers of a group of ordinary people. I have been stretched way
out of my comfort zone, been attacked often by the 'powers of this dark world', and shed more tears this last year
than the rest of my life time combined--yet I've never been so alive! I've never been so loved. I am humbled
and honored to be a member.
